Schleprock "Happy Home"

Geez.. This is like the 5th thing I've posted about on Dr. Strange Records but I swear after they started releasing Peter and the Test Tube Babies albums these bands fell into some kind of blackhole to never be heard or seen from again. After Dr. Strange, Schelprock made the oft repeated mistake of many bands of the era: They signed to a Major Label. Guess what happened a couple years after they signed? They broke up. Yeah, major surprise... Their major label album sucked anyways, which was also not a big surpise but I digress. Here is a song that I used on too many mixtapes back in the day. If they had a greatest hits album, it would be this song repeated 15 times, in my opinion at least.

If I Treat You Like Shit Then You'll Love Me Forever

Plow United

Plow United hailed from the great state of Pennsylvania and brought forth the anthems. They were originally known as just Plow but probably due to some other band threatening to sue them over the name they changed to Plow United. They were on Creep Records, who have totally revamped their website erasing every bit of their best years and are now promoting bands that look like they could be on Victory Records ala 1995. Anyways, they recorded a bunch of singles and 3 albums. Their earliest stuff is my favorite for reasons you'll be able to hear below. A member of Plow United went on later to be in The Skywriters and The Snow Fairies.. Both really good indie pop bands.
